Toddler II Classroom

Our Toddler II Montessori program continues building on the Montessori Method with our students. We continue our work with language development and phonics, begin building fine motor skills to prepare for writing, dive into work sequences and offer potty training support and more.

Lead Teacher, Toddler II

Pixie Power is the Lead Teacher in our Toddler II classroom and also helps maintain our 8,000+ book library. She has been a member of our Montessori Episcopal School family for 10 years.

Her interest in the Montessori Method began while her 2 children attended MES. She was so inspired by the atmosphere of respect and joy that she became a certified Montessori teacher and has been with us ever since.

Mrs. Power is originally from Tennessee and graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in zoology. She has lived in Texas for the past 19 years with her husband, two daughters and various pets that seem to always come her way.

Associate Teacher, Toddler II

Amy VanGundy is the Associate Teacher in our Toddler II classroom and has been with MES since 2015.

She attended college in Michigan and has spent the last 23 years raising four active, amazing children. She has worked and volunteered with children of all ages throughout the years, keeping her very busy.

Amy feels blessed to be a part of MES and loves her time spent with the toddlers! She spends most of her free time with her busy family and two dogs

We have been serving Lewisville, Flower Mound and Highland Village toddlers through kindergartners for the past 49 years.
